In that context, the <strong>EU programming period 2021-2027<\/strong> places, among the priorities, the <strong>ecological transition<\/strong> and the adoption of <strong>digital and precision technologies<\/strong> to mitigate the effects of the climate change, while ensuring the competitiveness and sustainability of the production system.<\/p>\n<p>The most pressing challenges include <strong>sustainable management of water resources<\/strong>, a strategic theme for Emilia-Romagna and the backbone of the <strong>Regional Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialisation (S3)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In questo quadro si inserisce il progetto dedicato al <strong>basilico da industria (<em>Ocimum basilicum<\/em>)<\/strong>, coltura ad alto reddito in forte espansione anche in Emilia-Romagna grazie alla crescente domanda di <strong>pesto<\/strong>.
