HealthBread product innovation based on FP6 HealthGrain results and knowledge.

The project, based on results obtained from a previous research project named “HEALTHGRAIN”, aimed to produce breads with high nutritional value and good taste. The project, coordinated by TNO (The Netherlands), involved 17 partners from 5 European countries. Starting from the development of innovative raw materials and their characterization, HealthBread produced healthy and attractive innovative bread products: wholegrain breads and breads that carry the same benefit of wholegrain while maintaining the taste of the “generally more appreciated” white bread.
