The fundamental objective of the project is to equip the pasta industry – and consequently other food industries that handle and process grain – with an effective tool to optimize inputs and the related costs, and to ensure the most effective management of their quality.

We intend to design, develop and validate an innovative equipment for the selection of durum wheat kernels based on a high-precision technique capable of performing, at very high speed, a grain-by-grain analysis and sort them on the basis of composition and qualitative criteria.

The project benefits from a cooperation between researchers, experts, technologists and the food industry provided by the partners of the project Open Fields and BoMill.
